Leonora Morekis Pughsley

SAVANNAH – Leonora Morekis Pughsley died December 21, 2013 at Hospice House.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Leonora attended Savannah Schools and was a member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church. She travelled to Greece many times and visited other places in Europe as well. She retired from the Social Security Administration following many years in the Savannah office. She was an avid gardener.
Surviving are her sister, Anne Morekis; her son, Roger Byron Pughsley; grandsons, Richard Pughsley and Joseph Ellis; granddaughters, Amber C. Crabb and Katelyn B. Pughsley; step-sons, Dale and Bobby Pughsley; nieces, Helen M. McCracken, Elizabeth M. Morekis, Mary M. Mitchell, Helen F. Demopoulos, and Georgia F. Lamas; and a nephew, Charlie Morekis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Constantine E. and Mary Nikitis Morekis, her husband, Robert Lee Pughsley, two sisters, Angela M. Fessopulos John and Harikia M. Nettis James; her brother, Evangelos "Kelly" Morekis Vasilla; a niece, Mary F. Carellas; and two nephews, Charles and Stephen Nettis.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, followed by the Trisagion Service at 6:30 pm.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers remembrances be made to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.

Your one of my biggest fans, you've always supported me &you always gave me the best advice when I needed it.
